Ravi is without doubt extremely knowledgeable about the whole area. The guide Surender and our porters were fantastic, always cheerful & catering to our every need. The lodge rooms are a bit dingy & the huge bed took up most of the room. There is no internet access at the lodge but there's one nearby on the high street. The trip to the hot springs (which sounds good after 6 days of trekking) just isn't worth 4hrs of very rough road in the back of Ravi's jeep. The bath was too hot to get into & a shower in our room at 4:30 would have been far better than arriving back at the lodge at 8:30, still in our 6 day trekking clothes, very tired & very hungry. Ravi likes to stop & pray at every temple & there are many! He will offer you a lift to the airport in his jeep then charge you 1000rs so you may do better to organise your own taxi & ride in some comfort without the numerous stops along the way while Ravi does his errands. And don't give him your phone number, he doesn't understand time differences!
