The only disappointment here is that, unlike many paradores, the building is not a historic palace or even that old. On the plus side, the location is perfect: on a cliff edge with rooms overlooking the garden and sea and a lift that drops you right down on the beach. Some rooms have whirlpool baths and private patios. The restaurant is recommended, particularly the seafood; try the giant langostinos. There’s also a pool and tennis court.
