The Carlton was just what we needed, close to the city centre, 5 mins walk to micklefied gate, then you are at the top of the strip heading towards the restaurants and bars, the Carlton is very clean the service was great and as a chef the breakfast on the sunday morning was all I could have asked for, perfectly cooked, fresh local produce and made to order, superb !!! Whenever we have a night or weekend away we normally stay in a chain hotel type but this gets our thumbs up and will definately stay here again, this has put our faith back into the British bed & breakfast market, it is rated 4* and rightly so. Our room at the top was large and airy and had a very comfortable bed. the en-suite had space to move about in and sported a proper power shower.

Chose Carlton House based on past reviews from Tripadvisor website and they didnt fail us. The b&b itself and the staff lived up to all our expectations with its clean lines and modern quirks in a lovely period propert complimented with a friendly and personal touch that you would expect from a family run bed and breakfast. Check-out the website bright,clear pictures of bedrooms, what you see is what you get.
