We have just spent the most fantastic 5 days at this amazingly beautiful place. Kewarra Beach Resort is situated about 20 minutes drive North from the city of Cairns on the Northern Beaches. We nearly decided to book a hotel in the city and are so glad we didn't, as it is too touristy we were looking for a private location and certainly found it at Kewarra. The property has amazing tropical gardens that meander around a natural lagoon and the forest bungalows are all built individually in the forest if you love nature and the sound of birds this is the place to stay. The accommodation is spacious and very well appointed with all the mod cons you need, including complimentary internet access. The food here was the best we had during our entire time in Australia it was superb, and the service was equally as good. The staff at Kewarra could not do enough for you, they have a fantastic team on their tour desk to assist you with planning trips to the Barrier Reef or a day safari to Cape Tribulation and the Daintree Rainforest. All the tours pick up at Kewarra and the staff can advise you on some great local attractions which we would never have known about. Their beach is so private and uncrowded and they even have their own stinger net for year round swimming. If you book with them they will also provide you with complimentary return airport transfers which we took advantage of. Kewarra Beach Resort will most definitely be on our list of places we will want to go back to when we are next visiting Australia, only next time we will stay a couple of days longer.
