Great breakfasts at this Wicker Park B&B - area looks a bit dodgy around the subway exit, but it is a very hip neighborhood with great dining spots on Division Street - try Mano - a global meatless hot spot - tiny but great and we loved the gelato at Caffe Gelato a little farther down Division. The B&B is actually two buildings, rented as apartments or guestrooms, beautiful little garden with a view of it over the roof top deck. Really close to everything downtown - sightseeing, Millennium Park, museums, we recommend the Chicago Architecture Foundation boat tour, too.
Hostess lives on site on the first floor, most of the rooms have private baths, a couple share a bath, so ask if that is important for you. Breakfasts were yummy with french toast specials, pancakes and great egg dishes. Freshly baked muffins every day - just one kind, but ohhh so good!
